【 Principle 】
Sodium thioglycolate and L-cysteine hydrochloride are used as reducing agents in the culture medium to maintain a low redox potential and protect anaerobic/microaerophilic bacteria; Sodium glycerophosphate provides trace amounts of basic phosphorus element; Sodium dihydrogen phosphate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate form a buffering pair, stabilizing the pH value and maintaining equilibrium osmotic pressure; Thickening with low concentration agar to buffer transport vibrations and reduce bacterial damage; Maintain uniform suspension of microorganisms and inhibit uncontrolled proliferation of miscellaneous bacteria.
Main components
Composed of sodium thioglycolate, L-cysteine hydrochloride, sodium glycerophosphate, calcium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, agar, and distilled water.
Storage conditions and expiration date
Storage conditions: This product should be stored in a dark environment at 2-25 ℃.
Validity period: The unopened original packaging has a validity period of 3 months.
This product is a disposable product.
Transport of clinical bacterial specimens: Nasopharyngeal, urethral, and cervical swabs transport Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis to avoid inactivation of oxygen sensitive bacteria.
Respiratory pathogenic bacteria testing: pharyngeal swabs and sputum specimens are transported at room temperature to protect the activity of vulnerable pathogenic bacteria such as Streptococcus pneumoniae.
Diarrhea related pathogenic bacteria transport: anal swabs and fecal specimens transport Salmonella and Shigella, maintaining the original bacterial population ratio.
Sampling and transportation of pathogens on the surface of hospital infection environment: Medical devices and contact surfaces of the ward are washed out and transported for infection tracing.
Epidemiological on-site sampling and transportation: After bulk sampling on site, long-distance testing can be carried out to stabilize and preserve the target bacteria without the need for cold chain.
Oral and wound microbial transport: Wound secretions and oral swabs transport anaerobic and microaerophilic bacteria to reduce oxidative damage.
