Product Overview

【 Principle 】

Pancreatic casein peptone and soy protein peptone provide a variety of amino acids, peptides, vitamins, and growth factors; Glucose provides a carbon source and is a fermentable small molecule carbohydrate; Sodium chloride maintains physiological isotonic environment; Potassium dihydrogen phosphate as a pH buffer system can neutralize the organic acids produced by bacterial metabolism, prevent acidification from inhibiting bacterial growth, and ensure the continuous reproduction of bacterial communities during long-term cultivation.

Main components

Composed of pancreatic casein peptone, soy protein peptone, glucose, dipotassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, and distilled water.

Storage conditions and expiration date

Storage conditions: This product should be stored in a dark environment at 2-8 ℃.

Validity period: The unopened original packaging has a validity period of 6 months.

This product is a disposable product.

Clinical application scenarios

Universal bacterial enrichment culture: Enriching aerobic/facultative anaerobic bacteria in various clinical specimens such as pus, sputum, swabs, and body fluids to improve the detection rate of low bacterial count specimens.

Aseptic testing of drugs and medical devices: Pharmacopoeia standard bacterial enhancement solution, used for pre-treatment of raw materials, injections, and medical consumables for aseptic testing.

Pre microbial limit bacterial growth: Resuscitation of contaminated bacteria in food, cosmetics, and raw materials, and repair of bacterial cells damaged by preservation and disinfection.

Activation and passage of standard strains: daily recovery, passage, and short-term storage of Gram positive and negative quality control strains.

Preparation of drug susceptibility test bacterial solution: Standardized cultivation to obtain uniform fresh bacterial suspension, matched with broth dilution method and paper diffusion method for drug susceptibility testing.

Environmental microbiological monitoring: Bacterial screening of wiping samples on hospital countertops, equipment, and pharmaceutical workshop surfaces.

Introduction to the Relevant Microbiological Characteristics

Escherichia coli

G ⁻ short rod-shaped bacteria, with flagella, motile, non spore forming, facultative anaerobic; Rapid reproduction speed, fermentation of sugars to produce acid, common indicator bacteria in body fluids, feces, and sterile products, and uniform turbidity of liquid in TSB.

Klebsiella and Escherichia coli genera

G ⁻ crude short rod-shaped bacteria, mostly with capsules, mostly without flagella, facultative anaerobic; Commonly contaminated bacteria in the environment, clinical drainage fluid, and infusion equipment, tolerant to common physical and chemical injuries, and easy to recover in TSB.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa

G ⁻ bacillus, single ended flagella, obligate aerobic; Wound and instrument contamination are caused by pathogenic bacteria, which can easily form a bacterial film on the liquid surface. Some strains produce water-soluble pyocyanin.

Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis

Staphylococcus aureus, non spore forming, facultative anaerobic, salt tolerant; Skin, wound, and hospital environment dominant bacteria rapidly grow turbid in TSB.

Streptococcus, Enterococcus

G ⁺ - chain arranged cocci, non spore forming, facultative anaerobic; Mild strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, and other strains subjected to harsh conditions can meet basic activation requirements with TSB.
