【 Principle 】
Peptone and hydrolyzed casein provide ammonia sources and trace elements; Lactose is used in sugar fermentation experiments; Sodium chloride maintains normal osmotic pressure; Sodium deoxycholate and bile salt 3 inhibit Gram positive bacteria; Sodium pyruvate stimulates the growth of target bacteria; Agar is a coagulant for culture media.
Main components
Composed of peptone, hydrolyzed casein, lactose, sodium chloride, sodium deoxycholate, sodium oxalate, bile salt 3, sodium pyruvate, Bengal red, agar, and distilled water.
Storage conditions and expiration date
Storage conditions: This product should be stored in a dark environment at 2-8 ℃.
Validity period: The unopened original packaging has a validity period of 3 months.
This product is a disposable product.
Selective isolation of Yersinia pestis: used for fecal inoculation in patients with diarrhea and suspected mesenteric lymphadenitis, combined with cold enrichment bacteria to increase detection rate.
Food and water source screening and tracing: detecting refrigerated meat, dairy products, drinking water, etc., responding to outbreaks of Yersinia pestis, and completing pollution tracing.
Supplement identification to reduce missed detections: When CIN-1 is covered by miscellaneous bacteria, parallel inoculation with improved Y can compensate for missed detections on a single plate and improve sensitivity.
Distinguish between Yersinia and miscellaneous bacteria: Inhibit Gram positive bacteria, Proteobacter, and most Escherichia coli, with Yersinia showing dominant growth.
Large scale screening of carriers: suitable for cafeteria employees, pediatric wards, and mass high-throughput isolation of clustered cases.
Purification of bacterial colonies for identification: Select suspected single bacterial colonies and purify them for biochemical, serological typing, and toxicity testing to complete diagnosis.
Low temperature cultivation kit: Suitable for Yersinia pestis cultivation conditions at 25 ℃, balancing nutrition and selectivity, used for cold transfer after bacterial growth.
Yersinia enterocolitis
Biological characteristics: Gram negative short ball bacillus, with both ends of the bacterial body heavily stained; Facultative anaerobic, characterized by peripheral flagella and positive motility at 25 ℃, and no flagella or motility at 37 ℃; Strong cold preference, can slowly proliferate at 4 ℃; Biochemistry is mostly urease positive, fermented glucose, and unfermented lactose; Refrigerated meat, milk, and water sources are the main pollutants; Causing acute gastroenteritis, abdominal pain, and mesenteric lymphadenitis, easily misdiagnosed as appendicitis.
Tolerant to bile salts and antibacterial dyes in modified Y, it can promote superior growth and significantly inhibit common intestinal bacteria.
Improved Y medium culture characteristics: Cultivate at 25 ℃ for 24-48 hours; colonies are small to medium-sized, round, smooth, raised, semi transparent, milky white/off white, without red pigments or characteristic halos (no mannitol color system, different from CIN-1); The colonies are clearly dispersed, without spreading or fusion; Proteobacteria is inhibited and no migratory membrane appears.
