Product Overview

【 Principle 】

Meat extract, animal tissue hydrolysate, and casein hydrolysate provide carbon, nitrogen, vitamins, and growth factors; Sodium chloride maintains a balanced osmotic pressure; Charcoal has the functions of detoxification, collecting carbon dioxide, and changing surface tension; Sodium deoxycholate is a selective antibacterial agent; Cefoperazone can inhibit the growth of common intestinal bacteria, amphotericin B can inhibit the growth of yeast and fungi, and rifampicin can inhibit non curved bacteria and other anaerobic bacteria; Ferrous sulfate and sodium pyruvate are beneficial for the growth of Campylobacter jejuni; Agar is a coagulant for culture media.

Main components

Composed of meat dipping powder, animal tissue hydrolysate, casein hydrolysate, sodium chloride, charcoal, sodium pyruvate, sodium deoxycholate, ferrous sulfate, cefoperazone, polymyxin B, rifampicin, agar, ethanol, sterilized water, and distilled water.

Introduction to the Relevant Microbiological Characteristics

Campylobacter jejuni, Campylobacter coli

Biological characteristics: G-shaped, S-shaped, seagull spreading wings, single flagella at one or both ends, active movement; Strictly microaerophilic (5% O ₂, 10% CO ₂, 85% N ₂), suitable for growth at 42 ℃, weak at 37 ℃, and no growth at 25 ℃; Oxidase+, peroxidase+; Campylobacter jejuni hydrolysis of uric acid+, Campylobacter coli -; Non fermentable sugars, no H ₂ S. zoonotic diseases, with poultry as the main host; Triggering acute enteritis can lead to secondary Guillain Barr é syndrome.

Improved CCD agar culture characteristics: 42 ℃, 24-48 hours; colonies are small, flat, moist, gray white/semi transparent, with irregular edges, appearing as water droplets or misty films; Typical moldy or slightly acidic odor; Smear shows characteristic S-shaped and arc-shaped G ⁻ bacilli, with active motility; The miscellaneous bacteria are effectively suppressed, the plate is clean, and the target bacteria are dominant colonies.
