【 Principle 】
Animal tissue hydrolysates provide peptides, amino acids, nitrogen sources, vitamins, and growth factors; Corn starch adsorbs trace amounts of toxic oxygen free radicals and heavy metal impurities in the culture medium, protecting fragile and harsh bacteria while buffering pH stability; Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic pressure of the culture medium; Agar is a coagulant; Aseptic defibrated sheep blood provides hemoglobin, growth factors, and red blood cell matrix, supporting the growth of harsh bacteria, assisting in the identification of hemolytic reactions, and neutralizing oxidative substances to protect damaged bacterial cells.
Main components
It is composed of animal tissue hydrolysate, corn starch, sodium chloride, agar, sterile microfiber sheep blood, and distilled water.

[Sample Requirements]
Samples such as sputum, blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and wound secretions from the human body.
First generation culture of sterile specimens: preferred sterile body fluids such as blood, cerebrospinal fluid, pleural and peritoneal fluid, and puncture pus are used to isolate Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, etc. for the diagnosis of sepsis and purulent infections.
Respiratory specimen culture: sputum and throat swab isolation of Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Haemophilus influenzae, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of pneumonia and tonsillitis.
Wound and urinary specimens: Separate pathogenic bacteria from wound secretions and urine, and guide the use of antibiotics for skin and urinary tract infections.
Isolation and identification of harsh bacteria: It has superior nutrition and is suitable for harsh bacteria such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Campylobacter. It can also be used for satellite testing to screen for Haemophilus influenzae.
Purification and preservation of bacterial strains: Purification of suspicious bacterial strains, passaging and preservation of standard bacterial strains.
Purification before drug susceptibility testing: Separate single bacterial colonies to provide pure culture for paper susceptibility testing.
Gram positive cocci
Staphylococcus aureus: G ⁺ grape clusters; The colony has a milky yellow protrusion, complete beta hemolysis, and positive coagulase.
Group A beta hemolytic streptococcus: small gray white colonies with a wide transparent beta hemolytic ring on the periphery.
Streptococcus pneumoniae: flat umbilical pit like colony, alpha grass green hemolysis, positive for bile lytic bacteria.
Grass green streptococcus: small colonies, alpha hemolysis, conditionally pathogenic.
Enterococcus: Small gray white colonies, gamma non hemolytic, resistant to 6.5% NaCl.
Gram negative bacteria
Escherichia coli: Large, moist gray white colonies, mostly gamma non hemolytic, with a few strains beta hemolytic.
Proteobacteria: spreads and migrates in thin film growth, often without hemolysis and strongly positive for urease.
Campylobacter jejuni: microaerophilic at 42 ℃, small dewdrop like colonies.
fastidious bacteria
Haemophilus influenzae: The growth of ordinary blood plates is poor, but this culture medium can grow weakly; There is a satellite phenomenon around gold and Portugal, requiring an X+V factor.
