【Principle】
Peptone and beef extract provide carbon and nitrogen sources, vitamins, amino acids, and carbon sources; agar serves as the gelling agent for the culture medium.
【Main Ingredients】
Composed of peptone, beef extract, agar, and distilled water.
Storage Conditions and Shelf Life
Storage conditions: This product should be stored in a light-protected environment at 2-8°C.
Expiration Date: The original unopened packaging has a shelf life of 3 months.
This product is for single-use only.
Cultivation of bacterial strains: Selective transfer of suspicious bacterial colonies onto inclined surfaces to obtain pure cultures for subsequent identification.
Short term refrigerated storage: Bacteria are stored on a slope at 4 ℃ for easy retrieval and reuse.
Recovery of damaged bacteria: Freeze stored and freeze-dried strains are transformed into inclined surfaces for recovery, restoring bacterial vitality.
Preparation of bacterial suspension: Scrape fresh bacterial moss from the inclined surface to prepare bacterial solution for drug sensitivity, biochemical and other tests.
Observation of basic growth morphology: preliminary identification of bacterial species is assisted by the characteristics of fungal moss.
Daily maintenance of quality control strains: Standard strains are regularly passaged to maintain activity for quality control.
Aseptic test control: Verify the sterility of culture media, consumables, etc.
Removal of trace impurities: Mild contaminated strains are purified by multiple slant passages of a single strain.
Escherichia coli
Gram-negative short bacillus, mostly with flagella around the entire body, motile, spore-free, capsule-free, facultative anaerobic; gray-white, moist and lush bacterial lawn, easily spreading along the slant.
Staphylococcus
Gram-positive cocci arranged in grape-like clusters, catalase-positive; streptococci arranged in chains, catalase-negative; both lack spores and flagella, facultative anaerobes; moderate nutritional requirements, can grow on basic nutrient agar, commonly found as pathogens in skin, respiratory tract, and wounds. Greyish-white rough and dry bacterial colonies, capable of covering the entire slant. Milky white or pale yellow, dense and firm colonies with weak spreading ability.
Bacillus cereus
Gram-positive, large bacillus capable of forming endospores with extremely strong resistance, aerobic; utilizes simple organic nutrients, widely distributed in soil and grains, some strains serve as food-contaminating pathogens. Grayish-white, rough, and dry bacterial growth can cover the entire slant.
