【 Principle 】
Peptone provides carbon and ammonia sources to meet the needs of bacterial growth; Pig bile salt can inhibit the growth of Gram positive bacteria; Lactose is a fermentable sugar in the Escherichia coli community; Bromocresol purple is a pH indicator, with yellow acidity and star purple alkalinity; Phospholipids and Tween 80 can neutralize preservatives and disperse substances in emulsions. Phospholipids can neutralize quaternary ammonium salts and parabens, while Tween 80 can neutralize benzoic acid, hexachlorophenol, and formalin. The combination of the two can neutralize ethanol and chlorpheniramine (chlorhexidine).
Main components
Composed of peptone, pig bile salt, lactose, bromocresol violet, lecithin, Tween 80, and distilled water.
Storage conditions and expiration date
Storage conditions: This product should be stored in a dark environment at 2-8 ℃.
Validity period: The unopened original packaging has a validity period of 3 months.
This product is a disposable product.
Determination of total bacterial count in cosmetics: According to the "Hygienic Standards for Cosmetics", it is used to detect the total bacterial count in cosmetics samples.
Neutralizing preservatives and antibacterial ingredients: Using lecithin and Tween 80 to neutralize quaternary ammonium salts, phenols, formaldehyde, ethanol, etc., eliminating antibacterial interference and improving detection rate.
Colony counting assisted identification: TTC in the formula can be reduced by live bacteria to form red colonies, which is easy to count and can slow down the spread of some bacteria.
Environmental hygiene and disinfection verification: As a contact culture medium, it is used to sample environmental surfaces treated with disinfectants to verify the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfection
Heat resistant coliforms (fecal coliforms)
Gram negative, non spore forming bacteria, aerobic or facultative anaerobic. The most crucial feature is the ability to grow in a high temperature environment of 44.5 ℃ and ferment lactose to produce acid and gas.
After being cultured at 44.5 ± 0.5 ℃ for 24-48 hours, heat-resistant coliforms will ferment lactose to produce acid, causing the bromocresol purple indicator in the culture medium to change from purple to yellow; Simultaneously producing gas, obvious bubbles are formed in the Du's tubules, and the meat soup is uniformly turbid.
