Clinical application scenarios

Microbial limit counting: isolation and counting of mold and yeast in drugs, food, and cosmetics to suppress bacterial interference.

Fungal isolation and purification: Fungi are isolated from samples with a high concentration of miscellaneous bacteria, and colony coloring facilitates the differentiation of small fungal colonies.

Environmental fungal monitoring: detection of fungal contamination in production clean areas, raw materials, and water environments.

Anti corrosion efficacy test: validation of antibacterial and anti fungal effects of the anti-corrosion system, used as a culture substrate.

Introduction to the Relevant Microbiological Characteristics

Candida albicans

Gram positive, round or oval in shape, sprouting and reproducing; Commonly found in normal human microbiota, it can cause opportunistic infections; Cultivate at 20-25 ℃ for 48 hours, and the colonies will appear milky or light pink in color, smooth, moist, and with neat edges.

Aspergillus niger

Common environmental fungi, separated by hyphae, can produce a large number of black spores; Cultivate at 20-25 ℃ for 3-5 days. The initial stage of the colony is white mycelium, and after sporulation, the surface turns black or black brown. The base of the culture is rose red in color.
