Product Overview

【 Principle 】

Peptone provides organic nitrogen sources, peptides, amino acids, and trace growth factors; Glucose is the main carbon and energy source for fungi; Magnesium sulfate dissociates magnesium ions, which act as activators for various metabolic enzymes, participate in sugar metabolism and nucleic acid synthesis, maintain fungal physiological activity, and promote stable growth; Sodium dihydrogen phosphate is used as a pH buffer to stabilize the culture medium and maintain a weakly acidic environment.

Main components

Composed of peptone, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, magnesium sulfate, glucose, and distilled water.

Clinical application scenarios

Aseptic drug testing: used for fungal contamination inspection of various pharmacopoeia specified sterile drugs such as injections, ophthalmic preparations, and sterile solid preparations.

Medical consumables and instrument inspection: Conduct sterile tests on surgical instruments, medical dressings, catheters, implantable instruments, etc., and screen for fungal contamination.

Biological product screening: fungal sterility testing of biological products such as vaccines, blood products, and biochemical preparations.

Monitoring of raw materials and packaging materials: screening for fungal contamination in pharmaceutical raw materials, purified water, and drug packaging materials.

Clean environment monitoring: sampling and testing of fungi in pharmaceutical clean areas, sterile operating rooms, and countertops.

Strain quality control and activation: Recovery, passaging, and validation of culture medium performance of fungal standard strains.

Pollution traceability analysis: Assist in identifying the source of fungal contamination when abnormalities are detected in sterile products.

Introduction to the Relevant Microbiological Characteristics

Candida albicans

Gram staining is positive, and the yeast cells are round or oval in shape. During the cultivation process, pseudohyphae and thick walled spores can be formed; Belonging to facultative anaerobic microorganisms; It has a wide temperature adaptability range and can grow and reproduce well under conditions of 22-28 ℃ and 35-37 ℃.

Tropical Candida and Smooth Candida

It mainly exists in the form of yeast cells, and some strains can produce pseudohyphae; The growth characteristics such as physiological metabolism and temperature adaptability are similar to those of Candida albicans.

Aspergillus genus (Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus)

Mycelia have septa and can form typical morphological conidiophores; For specialized aerobic microorganisms; Prefers a weakly acidic environment and has strong self growth ability.
