【Principle】
Peptone provides carbon and nitrogen sources to meet the bacterial growth requirements; sodium chloride maintains a balanced osmotic pressure; potassium dihydrogen phosphate and disodium hydrogen phosphate serve as buffering agents.
【Main Ingredients】
Composed of peptone, sodium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and distilled water.
【Storage Conditions and Shelf Life】
Storage conditions: This product should be stored in a light-protected environment at 2-25°C.
Expiration date: 12 months when the original packaging remains unopened.
This product is for single-use only.
【Sample Requirements】
Indirect samples from the human body.
Salmonella and Shigella overgrowth: Salmonella and Shigella overgrowth in food, feces, and anal swab samples at room temperature, stabilized by a phosphate buffer system to protect the recovery of damaged and dying pathogens, inhibit excessive proliferation of miscellaneous bacteria.
Transport and enrichment of intestinal pathogenic bacteria specimens: Temporary storage of fecal specimens for testing, buffering against gastric acid damage, and short-term proliferation of intestinal pathogenic bacteria.
Pre processing of food microbiological sampling: Basic enrichment solution for Salmonella testing of meat, eggs, and aquatic products, followed by transfer to selective meat broth containing selenite and tetrathionate.
Strain recovery: Mild activation of damaged Salmonella and Shiga standard strains.
Salmonella: Gram positive flagellar bacteria, non spore forming capsules, facultative anaerobic; Uniform turbidity in BPW; Acid and alkali resistant, damaged refrigerated bacterial cells can be revived; Pathogenesis: typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, food poisoning.
Shigella: G ⁻ short rod-shaped bacteria, flagellar free, non motile, facultative anaerobic; The meat soup is evenly turbid; Not resistant to strong acids, buffering environment is conducive to survival; Pathogenesis: Bacterial dysentery.
Escherichia coli: Gram positive flagellar bacteria, facultative anaerobic; Highly prone to massive proliferation, common symbiotic bacteria in feces.
Proteobacteria: Rich in flagella and facultative anaerobic, it grows vigorously in BPW and is commonly found in specimens as miscellaneous bacteria.
